Supply Planning setup¶
The execution profile defines how a Supply Plan is created: horizon, demand, calculation mode, constraints, and generation rules. Location rows specialize that profile without creating a separate process.
Path in the platform¶
Data > Data Operations > Configuration > Planning Setup > Supply Planning > Supply Planning Setup
Grain and key¶
One row per execution profile and location.
Required fields¶
| Logical field | Meaning |
|---|---|
executionProfileId |
Profile containing the rule |
locationId |
Location receiving the rule |
Optional fields¶
| Logical field | Meaning | Default Value When Not Provided |
|---|---|---|
executeSupplyPlan |
Includes the location in execution | General profile rule |
alwaysUseDrp |
Forces DRP replenishment at the location | General profile rule |
planHorizonInDays |
Location-specific horizon | Profile horizon |
productionCapacityRule |
Production-capacity rule | Profile capacity rule |
An empty field means no location-level override. It does not mean false,
0, or unlimited capacity.
Dependencies¶
- Locations.
- Demand Plan or another demand source selected by the profile.
- Transportation network.
- Bills of material and production versions.
- Production resources and routings.
- Inventory policies.
- Calendar, global parameters, and units of measure.
Used by¶
- Supply Planning data model;
- Supply Network Planning and Design execution;
- Supply Plan generation;
- constrained and unconstrained calculations;
- DRP, Deployment, and Load Building;
- S&OE and Line Sequencing;
- scenario comparison and constraint analysis.
Validations¶
- one effective rule per profile and location;
- positive horizon aligned with the calendar;
- scope locations connected to a viable supply source;
- DRP options consistent with the network;
- production capacity enabled only where a production alternative exists.
