Demand Planning Aggregation Type¶
materialAggregationType and locationAggregationType independently define
the level at which the statistical series is generated in each dimension.
Default when not provided: Top-Down.
| Payload value | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
Bottom-Up |
Generates forecast at the lowest available level of the dimension and aggregates the result | Calculate each material separately and add the family total |
Top-Down |
Generates forecast at the cluster level and splits the result to detailed DFUs | Forecast a category and distribute it to materials |
The two dimensions may use different values. For example, material may be
Top-Down while location is Bottom-Up.
Whenever at least one dimension is Top-Down, configure a
Split Model.
