Demand Planning Split Model¶
The splitModel field defines how an aggregated forecast returns to
material-location DFUs. It is required on save and therefore has no default.
Use the exact English value in Payload value.

Practical choice¶
- Use
Historical Saleswhen recent mix is a suitable allocation signal. - Use
DFU-Level STL Forecastwhen detailed series have useful structure that historical shares alone do not capture. - Use
Hierarchical Reconciliationwhen forecasts must remain coherent across governed hierarchy levels.
Hierarchical Reconciliation requires a statistical forecast engine and is
not compatible with Chronos.
