Configure the collaboration workflow¶
The workflow defines how a statistical baseline becomes consensus demand. Every stage needs an owner, available information, and an adjustment rule.
Design the process first¶
A starting process may include statistical baseline, sales review, marketing review, and demand consolidation. Use only the stages needed by teams that contribute independent information or own a decision.
Workflow objects¶
- Workflow groups the stages.
- Stage defines order, description, and adjustment behavior.
- Key figure is a displayed or composed series.
- Adjustment key figure receives the collaborator's delta.
- Configured view defines the Planning Book unit, measures, input behavior, and workflow stage.
Procedure¶
- Create a workflow with stable ID and description.
- Add stages in deterministic order.
- Select the key figures shown in each stage.
- Select the key figure that receives adjustments.
- Configure each audience's Planning Book view and select its workflow stage.
- Restrict editing to necessary measures and scopes.
- Associate the workflow with the Demand Planning process.
- Test with a small plan.
Minimum controls¶
Define one owner per stage, deadlines, visible units, reasons for material adjustments, base/delta/result separation, change traceability, and conflict policy.
Aggregated edits require a rule
A category, channel, or region adjustment needs an explicit allocation rule to reach DFUs.
Next step¶
Collaborate on the Demand Plan.
