Demand Plan¶
A Demand Plan is a dated version of expected demand. It preserves calculation origin, statistical baseline, and collaborative evolution without confusing those series.
Path in the platform¶
To extract the complete dataset:
Data > Data Operations > Planning Data > DP - Demand Planning > Detailed Extraction > Demand Planning - Full Download
Logical header¶
| Field | Required? | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| ID | Yes | Version identity |
| Name | No | Human-readable scenario name |
| Execution profile | Yes | Policy used to generate the plan |
| Origin date | Yes | First forecast bucket |
| Horizon | Yes | Periods covered |
| Frequency | Yes | Planning Bucket Size |
| Unit | Yes | Unit in which values are stored or shown |
| Status | Yes | Execution, review, collaboration, or release |
| Origin version | No | Relationship to an earlier cycle or scenario, when applicable |
Logical lines¶
The minimum line key is:
Demand Plan × material × location × period
Measures can include baseline, stage adjustment, and consolidated demand. Derived series must preserve a traceable relationship with the baseline and the event that changed it.
Dependencies¶
- Materials and Locations.
- Units of Measure.
- calendar and Planning Bucket Size.
- Execution Profile that created the version.
- selected Sell-out or Sell-in history.
Used by¶
- Supply Planning data model;
- Demand Plan analysis;
- Released Demand, which assigns this version to its official sales range;
- Demand Accuracy;
- plan collaboration;
- Planning Book and its Configured Planning Views, which may select a workflow stage;
- Supply Planning and capacity planning;
- DRP, load building, and projected write-off;

Quality rules¶
- origin date at the first open bucket;
- horizon without gaps;
- no key without corresponding master data;
- convertible unit;
- baseline present for the expected scope;
- adjustments with stage, author, time, and rationale;
- unambiguous release status.
