Production resource availability¶
Availability is a daily registration. In Community, each row states the hours available for one productive resource on one reference date. A date without a row contributes zero capacity.
Path in the platform¶
Data > Data Operations > Master Data > Production Master Data > Production Resources > Production Resource Availability
Grain and fields¶
The key is Production Resource Id + Reference Date.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
Production Resource Id |
Resource whose capacity is being registered. |
Reference Date |
Day to which the capacity applies. |
Available Hours |
Available capacity in hours when the execution profile uses hour-based capacity. |
Enterprise adds Available Quantity (for resource capacity UOM) as a fourth
column. Its unit is inherited from the productive resource; Community does not
publish this column.
Daily registration and bucket aggregation¶
The platform maps each daily row to the execution bucket and sums all availability rows for the same resource inside that bucket. Therefore, a consolidated registration gives exactly the same bucket total as the equivalent day-by-day registration, provided the total and the bucket are the same.
| Execution bucket | Equivalent registrations |
|---|---|
| Weekly | 8 hours on each of five days, or 40 hours on one date in that week. |
| Monthly | 8 hours on each of 20 productive days, or 160 hours on one date in that month, such as its first day. |
For a weekly or monthly execution, entering the hours total once reduces the upload volume without changing the capacity available to that execution.
Do not use a consolidated total with a daily bucket
The total is not redistributed over dates with no row. With a daily bucket, register the capacity of each day that must be available. Use a single weekly or monthly row only when the execution itself uses that bucket and no day-level capacity distinction is required.
Validation¶
- The resource must already exist and be active for planning.
- The reference date must belong to the intended execution horizon.
- Capacity cannot be negative.
- In Enterprise, the resource must define the unit used by
Available Quantity.
