SAP reference for the Demand Planning execution profile¶
This page complements the execution profile. SAP IBP forecast-model assignments and application-job templates—or APO forecast profiles—are partial analogies, not direct equivalents.
| OpsFactor | Nearby SAP concept | Difference |
|---|---|---|
id, description |
model/profile/job-template name | A job may not contain all profile semantics |
historicalSalesDocumentType |
demand-source key figure used by the model | Sell-in/sell-out must be defined in transformation |
bucketSize, horizon |
time profile and job parameters | Convert buckets and limits explicitly |
| edit window | edit horizon/frozen periods | May be distributed across SAP configuration |
| Enterprise AutoFit/MAPE/HTS links | analytical models and levels | No automatic correspondence |
Use a stable functional ID such as DP-SELL_OUT-MONTHLY-18M, even if the SAP
job name changes. Keep the SAP identifier as source traceability, not as a
replacement for the Community/Enterprise contract.
SAP IBP Application Jobs can schedule and monitor template-based runs; that does not make them the OpsFactor profile itself.
Nearby SAP transactions or apps¶
There is no equivalent S/4HANA transaction. The SAP IBP Application Jobs app is the reference for templates, parameters, recurrence, execution, and logs.
